Statement of Faith of Chinese Christian Family Church Fontana

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God. "All Scriptures is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16 

2. We believe that there is on God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19)

3. We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

4. We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from hence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. 

5. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

6. We believe that marriage is designed, instituted and intended by God to be a thriving, lifelong relationship between a man and a woman. Therefore, Christians are called to be defend and protect God's marriage design (Matthew 19:4-6).

7. The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. Bible is the solo and final authority, source of all that we believe for our church’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, rituals, purpose and order of assembling, discipline, and the final authority concerning believers’ morality, conduct and serving.

8.  Our church’s leaders or theologians of  Christian seminaries approved by church leadership authority is the final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application (for example regarding to the church’s statement on Marriage, Gender, life, Sexuality, and the right to legally authorize / solemnize marriage in the church).   

9. In order to carry on the Great Commission which Jesus gave to His church (Matthew 28:18-20), and to protect the function and unity of body of  Christ (Ephesians 4:1-16), we abide and agree to the above statements and conduct ourselves in accordance with them.
